My name is Maggie Moore and I am a junior at Loyola University Chicago. I study advertising, public relations, and visual communications.
I have a year of experience in public relations and have interned at The Cleveland Museum of Art, the theater department at Margie Korshak Inc. and the Cleveland Pops Orchestra. Some of my daily tasks included drafting press releases, media monitoring, assisting at press events and creating media lists.
My passions lie in arts and entertainment. Not only have I been lucky enough to work in and around so many cultural institutions, I am also a member of the marketing department at Kettle Camp Studios. Kettle Camp is an entirely student-run production company at Loyola that makes and publishes a new mini-series online every semester. We run the social media pages, track analytics, and plan marketing events.
What I love about A&E PR is being able to get the message out to the world about creative people. Some current creatives that I find inspiring are Greta Gerwig, Raf Simons, and Macon Reed. This past summer at the Cleveland Museum of Art was particularly inspiring because I was able to help with the marketing activities for the Yayoi Kusama Infinity Mirrors exhibition, who is another one of my favorites. (The picture to the right was taken in the exhibition).
The reason I chose my Visual Communications minor is that I love to create art myself. I am proficient in the Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere Pro. You can check out my portfolio here.
